| Bio: | Christine loves Lee!         I have a wonderful man in my life (Lee) that maybe I don't appreciate enough, 2 wonderful children (Jessica and Lennon) and 2 best friends (Soozy and Julie) that anyone would kill for. Work is just work and life is what happens while you are busy making other plans. (Thank You John Lennon for that wonderful lyric) I have 3 lifelong friends who are more like sisters to me (Heather, Val and Kelli) and I trust them with everything that I am. I have learned that life will undoubtedly throw you a curve ball when you least expect it so make sure you take a few practice swings. Just to fill in some blanks for those who really dont know me... I am an Italian American and Cherokee woman in love with a beautiful African American man. I live every day with the desire to live another. I am diabetic, have osteomyelitis, neuropathy and MRSA. My condition, in turn, caused my son's heart conditions (He was born with co-arctation of the aorta, mitral stenosis, aortic stenosis and with an upper and lower VSD aka Ventrical Seperation Disorder) and I live every day to make sure I don't pass it on again to any future mini-me's. Despite the happy-go-lucky attitude I show to the outside world about this aspect of my life, I do feel great guilt. My son reminds me every day of what I failed to do. Not with words, but by the scar left on his chest. To describe the feeling of knowing I almost ended my own child's life before he even had a chance to live is overwhelming to say the least. But he's here and so far so good !! [Edit 7/12/06 We are officially having another baby!!! YAY!!!] Even after all of that, God went and played a funny little joke on me to remind not to become complacent. He "blessed" me with retinopathy. (a disease that causes the retina to seperate itself from the rest of the eye eventually leading to blindness) If I don't take care of myself, in 10 years I won't be able to see my beautiful children, my family, my wonderful life partner, my friends, the green grass, the blue sky, or anything else ever for that matter. For now I see the beautiful faces everyday that make my heart sing and the beautiful world around me. I have every intention on keeping it this way ! On another note..... I do have a dark side about me and a pretty sorrid past. Looks can be deceiving but I know where I've been and what I've done. I'm lucky not to be in prison. What's sad about that statement is that even though I'm kinda kidding, I'm also kinda serious. (Shhhhhh... dont tell my mom.) It is not a part of my life that I am proud of by any means and I won't talk about it much her in LJ land. It has changed my life permanently and not for the better. Many of my friends from that time will never be the same. Many of them can't come back here and I miss them. *sigh* I don't really have any rules if you add me. All I ask is that we have some things in common even if not listed and be respectful to everyone's lifestyle and/or opinions. Open-mindedness is a necessity! Don't preach or shove your opinions down my throat (or anyone else's throat for that matter) and we will all be one big happy family. I don't think that's too much to ask. I think everyone knows what I'm saying... [Edit: Bella Ivy Hill was born 02/19/07 weighing 6lbs 14oz and was 19 inches tall and perfectly healthy!!!. Welcome to your family lil' Miss Hill. Mommy loves you!]
